Aalst Retail Brand Launching

Date:
01/2007
The first successful retail brand that is under the wings of Aalst Chocolate – Chocolate Line is aimed to provide home party solutions with cool gadgets to encourage chocolate consumption.

When Chocolate Line first launched the chocolate fountain and chocolates, it created a fad and craze. The products flew off the shelves within days. The hype about the fountains was a phenomena sight.

Chocolate Line range of products is mainly to provide solutions to home parties. The chocolate fountains are usually found in hotels and so when the introduction of home-use chocolate fountains, families who love to throw parties snap up this lovely party companion.

The brand is extending more and more gadgets like chocolate fondue and chocolate frothy maker to keep the insatiable chocoholics wanting more.

As the brand gets more and more recognized for its brilliant products, overseas retailers and departmental stores have been making enquiries to bring Chocolate Line into their country. So far, Chocolate Line can be found in Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Philippines and as far as South Africa.

Newer designs of chocolate fondue will be launched in October 2007 to anticipate another round of quick snap up for the festive season!

Following Chocolate Line’s success, Aalst Chocolate started a series of retail chocolates for home-cooking. Aalst Chocolate Real Cooking Chocolate and Real Chocolate Chips made its debut in December 2006. The chocolates were quickly snapped up by chocoholics and baking enthusiasts.

Each packet of chocolate weighs 340g and it is ideal for 1 baking recipe. The specific weight came about after surveying the public as consumers want to buy chocolates in smaller quantity. The reason is due to the hectic schedules and it is uncommon for busy executives to bake often. Hence it is deemed more convenient to use up all the ingredients at one go rather than having to keep the remaining portion.

Keeping consumers’ feedback in mind, the team has come up with smaller packaging and also concocts simple recipes to promote home-cooking. Our well trained staffs and promoters will be doing demonstrations in all major departmental stores and retail outlets to educate consumers on the good properties of chocolate and demonstrated some simple recipes which can be done at home.

The effort of on site promotion has been a huge success as consumers like to see how Aalst Chocolate can delight their family members and friends in a jiffy.

The sales have been increasing and currently, Aalst Chocolate can be found in all Singapore’s major departmental stores and Cold Storage stores.

In October 2007, Aalst Chocolate will be partnering Chocolate Line to create home-made pralines moulds so that chocoholics can have a hand in preparing delicious pralines from home!
